Jonah’s Lift are a professional 6-piece eclectic folk-rock band based in Falmouth, Cornwall. Energetic and engaging we are known for our unusual musical arrangements, humour and ability to get any crowd, young or old, up and dancing, making us perfect for any occasion. The ‘Lifters’ especially revel in an excuse to dress up and show off.

We have been around for just over 4 years – an active bunch: 2012 saw 58 events, 16 festivals (including Port Eliot), 13 ceilidhs, 6 weddings and a tour of the Isles of Scilly, along with a live performance and recording for local radio station, Source FM.

An eclectic mixture of original material, traditional Celtic folk tunes and rock & pop covers that have been given the Jonah's Lift treatment and quirked up, (imagine Black Sabbath's Paranoid with Benny Hill squished in the middle and you start to get the idea !!)

As well as a rocking, foot stomping regular gig set we also do a wicked Ceilidh suitable for all abilities and ages from OAP’s to babes in arms (literally – it has been known!!)

Jonah’s lift have never failed to get an audience dancing and so are good for bar sales from a very thirsty audience !!
